How can I volunteer for the next election?

On Election Day

Election workers are needed to serve the voters at the polls on Election Day. You are invited to join the election worker team and make a difference for your community. For more information about volunteering at the polls, please contact your county election office.

Student Election Worker Program

The Student Election Worker Program provides eligible students with the opportunity to participate in government elections, serve the community, and learn about the rights and responsibilities of voters. This opportunity will encourage students to become active voters once they reach 18 years of age.

Kansas law allows one student precinct board member to work in each polling place. It benefits students and helps election officials fill positions at the polling place on Election Day.

You are eligible for the program if you are:

  1. At least 16 years of age at the time of the election in which you serve as a member of a precinct board; and
  2. A United States citizen or will be a citizen at the time of the election in which you are serving as a member of a precinct board.

If you would like more details or are interested in participating in this program, please contact your county election office.
